Dementia Support
Our unique, faith-based approach to serving seniors living with a dementia diagnosis is delivered through SparkHappiness Memory Care by Buckner programming.
SparkHappiness draws on the cherished faith-based experiences and memories of seniors from their childhood to inspire comfort, peace, and joy. Designed for those living with dementias like Vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, and Parkinson’s Disease dementia, the program uses familiar prayers, hymns, stories, and traditions to gently spark treasured memories. Pairing this approach with the latest dementia-science based approaches creates a memory care setting where residents experience less pain and agitation, and more opportunities for peace.
Memory care residents and families can expect:
- Three meals daily
- Daily Housekeeping Services
- Weekly washing and changing of bath and bed linens
- Scheduled transportation assistance to medical appointments
- Scheduled recreational activities
- 24 hour staff available
- All utilities paid except telephone
- Medication assistance with stand-by monitoring/administration assistance
- Stand-by assistance in dressing
- Stand-by assistance in bathing
- Re-direction, counseling with resident and/or family, or behavioral intervention by staff members
- General laundry service
- Stand-by assistance and prompting/cueing of residents with toileting activities
- Periodic transfer assistance (Resident must be able to stand, pivot and bear weight.)
- Assistance in making medical appointments
- Assistance with telephone use
- Assistance getting to or from dining room
- Assistance with picking up and delivering personal mail to and from mailboxes
- Basic Cable Television
- Apartment maintenance and repair
- Beauty and barber salon on premises
- Large secure courtyard with walking trail
- Gazebo and Fountain
- 24 hour Licensed Vocation Nurse
- Rehab department on site
